Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, on 22nd July 2021, revealed that they are setting up a technology hub in Bengaluru as part of expanding its digital footprint. Zee Entertainment Enterprises is an Indian media conglomerate owned by Essel Group and headquartered in Mumbai. The company has interests in TV, print, film, internet, and mobile content. The new Zee Tech Hub aims to drive innovation and exponential growth across its integrated platforms.
At present, Zee enjoys a presence in over 190 plus countries with over 1.3 billion viewers. The Bengaluru innovation center taking strategic measures in the digital transformation journey of ZEE 4.0 will onboard 500-plus skilled experts in design, technology, data, and cybersecurity. Zee’s statement notes that it has already onboarded 120 plus experts to drive an innovative change and strengthen its overall tech prowess.
The report stated that the solutions and products designed by the team would lead the company’s digital pivot driving growth exponentially across platforms. Nitin Mittal, who holds the office of the President of Technology and Data at Zee, noted that the new tech hub/innovation center in Bengaluru would prioritize working on developing world class tech products & data solutions by creating synergies across their businesses, promoting innovative thinking as well as by driving collaboration.
The company statement noted that the Zee tech hub in Bengaluru would help the company build a strong cohort of design, data, tech, and talent to cater to the needs of the new age clients seamlessly across connected devices, built on a futuristic tech stack that will allow engineers, data scientists, cloud specialists to unlock and venture into the world of technology-led solutions. The Company release pointed out that the new ZEE 4.0 version of the company will focus on reinventing existing business models, maximizing its core, expanding into adjacent spaces, and exploring new areas of business.
