Urban Company will hire over 140 engineers in FY2022; also hires two new Executives.

Urban Company, a tech-enabled home services marketplace, said that in FY2022, it would hire over 140 engineers as well as key leaders/executives from various verticals. The company intends to drive technological innovation in the home services business with this new personnel.

Rishabhdhwaj Singh will oversee the supply vertical and focus on increasing the company’s warehousing capabilities and building a robust supply chain engine. At the same time, Amit Das will establish up a research wing and harness his skills to develop outstanding user experiences.

“These hires will drive our next development phase, allowing the creation of deep tech, and allow us to invest in data science and establishing tech playbooks,” said Raghav Chandra, Co-Founder of Urban Company.

Amit Das has been named Vice President, Design & Research, and Rishabhdhwaj Singh named Vice President, Engineering, by Urban Company.

Amit has over ten years of expertise in the sector and will be in charge of product development, research, and design. He has previously worked with Urban Company and was crucial in establishing the firm’s design underpinnings.

Rishabhdhwaj has previously built platforms and systems for some of the country’s major e-commerce firms, including Ajio (B2B) and Flipkart, with a combined experience of more than ten years.

With the company also announcing the opening of a second office in Bengaluru, it would be interesting to see what kind of movements Urban Company does in the present situation with new leadership and new personnel.
