For the sixth year in a row, Tata Consultancy Services has been named to Points of Light’s Civic 50, a ranking of America’s most community-minded businesses. TCS was identified as National Leader in Community Engagement by Points of Light.
The Civic 50 list, established in 2012, is based on Points of Light’s Corporate Civic Engagement Framework, which provides a framework for firms committed to using their time, talent, and resources to promote social impact in their businesses and communities.
TCS was recognized for its community engagement investments and its programs’ integration, institutionalization, and effectiveness.

TCS kept its obligations to critical partners and targeted help in vital locations when the COVID-19 outbreak posed unprecedented difficulties to communities.
Levering resources during a crisis
TCS supported the American Red Cross Disaster Responder Program’s plasma collection program during the COVID-19 pandemic as a national partner, resulting in collecting two million units of plasma.
TCS replied to an appeal for help from state governors seeking technological skills to scale up unemployment claims processing in 2020 when communities were heavily struck by unemployment. TCS volunteers in New York assisted with the review of 140,000 unemployment claims while inventing techniques to speed up the review process by up to 50%.
TCS also provided free access to the full range of its digital STEM and computer science education resources to educators, parents, and students in all 50 states, as well as a virtual assist solution staffed by TCS volunteers.
Ignite My Future in School materials have helped educators build deep engagement with students through a transdisciplinary approach and customized lesson plans as education moved overnight to a virtual and digital format. Ignite My Future in School exceeded its target of engaging 20,000 teachers and reached its goal of getting 1 million students in 2022, a full year ahead of schedule.
