India’s largest IT company,TCS ( Tata Consultancy Services ), has announced various services and benefits for Covid care of its employees and their dependents to ensure their wellbeing.
TCS issued a statement which states that the health and wellbeing of our employees is our priority. Therefore, it has enabled some benefits and services for all associates and eligible dependents during the pandemic. These benefits include paid quarantine leave, 24×7 Covid-19 helpdesk to seek any assistance required, 24×7 TCS Medical Hotline to reach doctors, and TCS Cares services for counseling.
The company has also set up Covid Care Services across 11 cities in India to extend covid care facilities. In many other towns, quarantine centers are arranged in hotel rooms with hospital tie-ups.
As per some media reports, the IT firm has also provided Health Insurance Facility, which is available for TCS associates and their families: while emergency medical financial support is made available for them.
The spokesperson of the TCS has said, “The company is organizing Covid testing camps in its campuses to facilitate early detection and speedy treatment.”
He further said that the company had initiated vaccination drives for its all-eligible employees and their families on the vaccination front. These camps are arranged at company premises and through hospital tie-ups across various locations. Furthermore, considering the recent government orders of vaccination for the age group 18 years above, the company is working further to expand in-campus vaccination drives in collaboration with healthcare providers.
TCS is the largest employer in India among IT and Consulting companies, with nearly 4.5 lakhs headcount.
