Tata Technologies management on backfoot revokes Employees’ notice of separation after NITES complaint. Yesterday, most Tata Technologies Employees who received layoff notices in March 2021 received an email about Separation withdrawal. Those employees who got layoff notices had registered a complaint to the Labour Commissioner office Pune against Tata Technologies for the alleged illegal layoff of permanent employees and got a big relief after receiving the Email.
Harpreet Saluja, President, Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate, said, “It’s a ray of hope for the employees after all the efforts and hard work we have put in against the injustice done.
This withdrawal is the first step towards success, and we will continue to strive for the reinstatement and complete back wages of the employees.”

This Email is in furtherance of the Notice of Separation that was issued on 1st March 2021.
Tata Technologies considered this measure given the operational challenges faced by the company. As promised, the company’s endeavor continues to find suitable opportunities for employees within the organization.
The company has decided to extend the current arrangement till 30th June 2021, and the NOS issued on 1. March 2021 stands as null and void. Till 30th June 2021., the company-provided medical insurance benefit will continue to apply. As mentioned in the company’s earlier emails, the terms and conditions governing paid leaves and leave without pay would be the same. They shall remain unchanged along with applying the bench policy and its provisions.
Further, till 30th June 2021, employees with earlier notice can work as a consultant/freelance with other organizations. For that, employees will be required to ensure compliance with your confidentiality and non-solicitation obligations as agreed in your employment agreement entered with the company and its policies in this regard. In the event of any violation of such obligations, the company shall have the right to initiate action and claim damages from said employees to breach such commitments.
The company will strive to have these employees deployed for any assignments/ projects depending on clients’ requirements as of 30th June 2021. Suppose there are no such projects/tasks as far as employee engagement or involvement is concerned as of 30th June 2021. In that case, the company shall reserve the right to revisit its decision concerning the timelines and shall intimate of the same in advance.
