Ensono hires Hannah Birch, General Manager, and Dy. Managing Director for its business in Europe. She will drive Ensono’s European growth strategy, leveraging investment from new owner KKR.
The company recently boosted its cloud-native software capabilities after the acquisition of UK consultancy Amido.
Barney Taylor, Managing Director, Ensono, said, “Birch understands how to drive transformational growth strategies.” He further said that the acquisition of Amido and KKRs investment pointed to Ensono’s momentum in the sector. As a result, the company has an accelerated opportunity to invest and grow in the UK and European markets.
He thinks that Hannah is the right person to drive the company’s growth ambition.
Birch was previously working with Accenture, where she had many positions. She also led its UK Technology Business for Insurance and was a member of the Technology Leadership Team for the UK and Ireland.
She started her career at Energy giant BP and later worked at Fujitsu Services UK and Computacenter.
According to a 2020 IDC survey, women hold only slightly more than 8 percent of leadership roles in European channel firms.
Birch said, “Ensono is one of the few service providers that meet organizations at the inflection point, and the firm is looking to leverage technology to drive transformational change to business.”
“Many companies struggle to chose and identify the right tech solutions for them. It has increased the pressure on service providers to be trusted partners for enterprise clients, guiding and streamlining the transformation,” she said.
The investment by KKR follows strong growth performance by Ensono along with robust growth in 2020.
Charlesbank and M/C Partners took over the company in 2015 and rebranded it as Ensono in 2016. However, the company has progressed significantly since then in new clients and revenues, and it frequently ranks high on Channel Futures MSP 501.
