IT and consulting companies recruits 435 student from IIM Bangalore Placement

All 435 students of 2019-2021 MBA batch IIM Bangalore who appeared for interviews were placed during campus placements. All the students graduating the two-year MBA course of the IIM-B got placement offers from globally reputed firms; significant companies like Ola, Byju’s, TCS, Deutsche Bank have offered jobs to the students.

Professor U Dinesh Kumar, Chairperson of Career Development Services IIM Bangalore, said reputed companies had recruited students despite covid-19 disruptions.

The offers consist of 165 from consulting companies, Accenture made 45 and 24 from Bain and company.

Dr. Roopa Adyasha, Senior Manager at Career Development Services IIM Bangalore, while describing the virtual placements, said, “the placements office and the students put in an excellent effort. We set up the needed infrastructure and software platforms and managed the entire procedures through teamwork and collaboration.”

Recruiters in the IT company and IT management domain made 78 offers, while 55 e-commerce companies made 55 offers.

Finance domain companies made 67 offers to the students.

Leadership tracks and general management companies offered 47 positions.

For sales and marketing, students received 50 offers by the companies and nine role offers for the operations domain.

 Harshit Verma, Student Placement Representative, Commenting on the placements, said, “Strategy Consulting and Product Management continue to be the most marketable roles, followed by Finance.”

 Tapas Ranjan Pati, Manager, Career Development Services, IIM Bangalore, said, “Companies from overseas locations like Amsterdam, Dubai, and Singapore made offers across Consulting, Finance, International Trading, and Business Strategy.
