Hyderabad: An Infosys Software Engineer has died by suicide in Siddipet district. According to the Polish, P. Naveen Reddy, hanged himself. The police have started an investigation.
This tragic incident took place on Friday in Pedda Massanapalli of Thoguta Mandal of Siddipet district in Telangana.
Naveen is from the same village, and after completing B.Tech, he got a job in Infosys during the campus recruitment process and worked for over two years and supported his family.
He has been working from home ever since Infosys gave him work from home option during the lockdown. As he faced network issues in his house, he started working from a room in their form/field. A few days ago, he told his parents that he would quit his job. They supported his decision and told him to do whatever he feels right.
Indian IT Blog has not seen any suicide note, but according to some of the Leading Media Reports, Increased work pressure played a crucial role in this tragic incident.
Naveen always had the village’s network issues, so he worked from his farm. He was working from morning till midnight. Workload continued to increase, and he became mentally anxious and decided to quit his job.
Naveen resigned two days ago; however, he hid that from his parents and suffered severe mental anguish after quitting.
Early morning on Friday, he went to the farm, pretending office work. Around 8.30 am, his younger brother Ajay went to the farm and saw Naveen hanging from a rope in a silkworm shed.
His family found a note purportedly written by Naveen saying nobody was responsible for his death that made this case complex. Thogutta police have registered a case and started investigating the incident.
