Infosys Co-founder bought properties worth Rs.76 crore in Bengaluru.

Kris Gopalakrishnan, a co-founder of Indian IT major Infosys, has bought two properties worth Rs. 76 crore in Bengaluru’s Koramangala, which is a billionaire street of the city.

Gopalakrishnan is currently chairman of Axilor Ventures, an early-stage startup accelerator, and venture fund. According to news media reports, he has bought two properties as an investment.

According to property documents accessed by Zapkey.com, Gopalakrishnan also purchased two properties in JP Nagar in the past year. All these property deals made by him together amount to Rs. 113 crores.

A property covering 10,161.8 sq ft, including the building consisting of ground floor measuring 3,347 sq ft and the first floor measuring 2,439 sq ft, located in Koramangala 3rd Block Extension, Bengaluru, was registered on June 24, 2021. In addition, the value of the property is nearly Rs. 40 crore.

The two parties in the deal include SGK Investment Trust as buyer and Bikaner House Limited as a seller. However, the trust is represented by an authorized signatory named KC Ganesh.

SGK Investment Trust purchased another property worth Rs 36 crore on April 20, 2021. The plot covers 9,600 sq ft and is located in Koramangala 3rd Block Extension, Bengaluru. Joseph Thomas is registered as the seller of the property.

Earlier in February, SGK Investment Trust, an entity that operates Kris Gopalakrishnan’s investments, purchased a property worth Rs 19.15 crore in JP Nagar, the first phase, Bengaluru.

In August 2020, the trust bought a property worth Rs 18.25 crore in J P Nagar, Bengaluru.

Gopalakrishnan has served as CEO and Managing Director of Infosys from 2007 to 2011 and vice-chairman from 2011 to 2014. After retiring from Infosys, he actively promotes the Indian startup ecosystem and philanthropically supports research on brain sciences, aging-related disorders, and healthcare.

The third block in Koramangala is called Billionaire’s Paradise as Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani, Dr. Devi Shetyy of Narayana Health, Flipkart founders Sachin and Binny Bansal, some of the country’s successful entrepreneurs, reside in the locality.
