HCL Technologies Ltd has appointed former Accenture Plc executive Siki Giunta to head cloud-consulting business. It is vital due to the demand for cloud services picked up due to pandemic-driven remote working.
Guinta will join HCL Technologies as executive vice president and has rich experience developing global cloud strategies for international clients. She has scaled enterprise-grade hybrid cloud, data center, and hosting businesses and has been a software products business leader.
Previously, Guinta was working with Accenture, where she was managing director and global strategy lead for its journey to cloud program. Before joining Accenture, she worked as Chief Executive Officer of Managed Objects and Fortisphere.
She said that the cloud had become the strategic pillar for developing and building a responsive, scalable, and resilient business model. She further said, “Organizations are facing a need to ‘rethink cloud’ to accelerate digital transformation and maximize business value aligned with client needs, organization goals, and unique market conditions.”
Indian IT companies are getting benefits due to increased spending by the clients in adopting cloud services for their businesses. For most companies, the third part of their revenues comes from customers looking to shift their applications from servers to the cloud.
On joining HCL, she said, “I am excited to join the HCL and look forward to driving further momentum to the HCL Cloud Smart Journey.
Kalyan Kumar, Chief Technology Officer, HCL Technologies, said, “She will strengthen the collective power of cloud services, Frameworks, and products with centered business-aligned narrative.”
