Global IT services firm UST Global has appointed former Cognizant executive Matthew McCormack as Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand.
Matthew took charge of his role in August and is responsible for leading the expansion and growth of the company in the region.
Before joining the UST, he was consulting leader at Cognizant for the Asia Pacific region for nearly one and half years. Before that, he was Australia/New Zealand consulting leader and later head of digital strategy.
Matthew also held positions at SMS Management & Technology and Melbourne IT Group. In addition, he did consultancy work at a variety of businesses, including Fairfax Media.
He said, “I see a huge potential for UST to be the market leader in the human-centric digital transformation space in Australia and New Zealand and with the breadth and depth of offerings and the global partnership ecosystem UST has built over the past 22 years.”
Krishna Sudheendra, Chief Executive Officer, UST, said McCormack’s knowledge of the A/NZ market and his “ability to align business objectives, technology investments, and customer outcomes” will help the company to achieve planned growth in the region.
Alexander Varghese, COO, UST, said, “Matt brings deep expertise in strategy and operations and building a high performing consulting business.”
He added that currently, the company is investing in the Australia/ New Zealand market and bringing its solution capabilities from across the globe to benefit the clients in the region.
He further added that Matt would lead the company’s expansion plans, client relationships, talent growth, industry and academia partnerships, brand building, and social impact initiatives in Australia and New Zealand.
UST is a US-based provider of IT and services across the world. Recently, the company has announced a partnership with DigitSec to deliver secure and resilient solutions for testing and remediation.
