Amid Covid-19, TCS invests 1500 crore for Tech Park in Kerala.

While many IT companies are moving towards Work from Home or hybrid WFH model, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS) is investing Rs 1500 crore in Tech park in Pallipuraa, Kerala.

Kerala government has approved for building this massive Technocity IT park located in the suburbs of Thiruvananthapuram city. It is one of the largest tech parks coming up which spans around 97 acres. TCS which is already the highest IT job provider in Kerala has currently nearly 15000 IT employees. On completion of this park, the number of jobs will quickly scale to 20,000 direct and indirect employment in Technocity Tech Park.

They focus on the latest technology sectors like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, Machine Learning, Internet Of Things (IoT), Robotics, Data Analytics, and Data Science. This facility is also going to serve as an incubator for several tech startups.

This sustainable campus with efficient energy, water, clean air and waste management concepts which are an integral part of the Tech City will focus on service for the Defence, Manufacturing and Aerospace domains.

It is excellent news for Indian IT professionals and Kerala, this will attract more large and small Defense, aerospace, manufacturing companies to move to Kerala.

This new IT Park Technocity is under construction and will have a 2.5 million sqft built-up area. Technocity is a complete model IT City, spread across about 500 acres, including space for IT/ITES firms and residential, commercial, hospitality, medical and educational facilities. It is a new self-dependent satellite city, which would not strain the City of Thiruvananthapuram’s resources and infrastructure.

Technopark is a well known Tech park in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. As of 2015, Technopark has 10 million sq ft of built-up area, and is home to over 400 companies, with over 56,000 professionals. It is adding close to 500 acres as Technocity—an integrated IT township near Pallippuram.
