- The new partnership is multi-year, multi-million dollar investment between the Accenture and VMware Business.
- Over 2,000 Accenture employees will be trained in VMware technology, offering cloud migration and other services.
Accenture is partnering with VMware, A American company that provides cloud computing and virtualization software and services.
According to Accenture CEO Julie Sweet –“Cloud is the single most powerful tool for mastering change. As organizations are accelerating their move to the Cloud over the next few years, both companies will help deliver the speed, scale and security they need to reinvent their businesses and create more value fundamentally.”
Accenture and VMware did not disclose the exact invested amount; however, it’s said to be multi-million dollar spread across multiple years. VMware was in the news last year due to VMWare Layoff in India.
Consulting company is currently a VMware global principal partner and a premier global systems integrator within VMware. Accenture and VMware will launch Cloud Migration Factory service to offers automated computing workload migration services and a controlled environment and dedicated resources to plan, test, migrate and modernize applications at scale to public, private or hybrid Cloud.
Consulting firm and VMware are also setting a platform to speed up telecommunication companies’ rollouts of 5G and edge computing services.
Last year in September, the company launched a new business group within the organization named “Accenture Cloud First” multi-service group with a three-year US$3 billion budget for new technologies related to cloud technology.

Previously Accenture has setup ServiceNow business group by partnering with ServiceNow focused on digital transformation projects. .That business unit has 8,500 Accenture employees with ServiceNow skills, specializing in boosting customers’ workflow and platform development, marketing, sales and business development.
