Accenture acquisition of Core Compete, a cloud analytics services firm, to boost digital transformation.

Accenture plc acquisition of Core Compete, a cloud analytics services firm, for an undisclosed amount, based in Durham, North Carolina. More than 260 Core Compete employees will join Accenture’s applied intelligence practice team.

Core Compete is Accenture’s 8th acquisition focused on applied intelligence in the last two years, building on its growing analytics, data, and Artificial Intelligence business globally.

Core Compete has offices in the UK and India; it enables digital transformations with cloud-native solutions that deliver artificial intelligence and machine learning-infused business outcomes to assist a diverse customer base across the US and UK and focus on supply chain, retail, and financial services.

Core Compete is well-established to meet a significant need in the market, with its skilled data science, data engineering, cloud engineering consultants, with most employees with skills across all major cloud providers.

Core Compete is Accenture’s eighth acquisition in applied intelligence; the other acquisitions include Analytics8 in Australia, Pragsis Bidoop in Spain, Mudano in the UK, Byte Prophecy in India, Sentelis in France, and Clarity Insights and End-to-End Analytics in the US.

As per a research study of Accenture, two-thirds of CXO’s are planning to increase spending on Artificial intelligence, and more than 60 percent will invest more in cloud technologies.

Sanjeev Vohra, global lead for Accenture Applied Intelligence, said that the world had seen an increase in cloud adoption over the past year, enabling organizations to unlock the enterprise value from data and AI strategy at speed.

He further said that Core Compete’s approach to cloud analytics transformation would help the company accelerate time to value for its clients, giving them the right tools, strategy, and talent to reap the full benefits of being data-driven.
