Accenture Acquires Canadian Cloud service provider Cloudworks

IT Major Accenture has acquired Cloudworks, a leading Canada-based Oracle Cloud implementation service provider. The deal further strengthens Accenture’s capabilities to deliver Oracle solutions to clients on their journeys to the cloud. The financial terms of the acquisition are yet to be disclosed.

The 2016 born Cloudworks are known for their specializations in strategy, business and technology consulting and are renowned for their Oracle Cloud-based solutions in Enterprise Resource Planning, Enterprise Performance Management, and Human Capital Management. A significant part of  Cloudworks’ 100 employees are located in Toronto, and the company has shown its leading capabilities in robotic process automation (RPA), data analytics, and AI.

Jeffrey Russell, president of Accenture in Canada, stated that as organizations across work towards accelerating technology transformation programs, Accenture anticipates the demand for Oracle solutions to grow in significant numbers. He added that with the acquisition of Cloudworks, the company adds a highly skilled team with industry-specific experience in merging the power of Oracle with the ingenuity of people to unlock new possibilities for clients.

Accenture acquisition of Cloudworks marks the 3rd acquisition for Accenture Canada over the last year. Accenture previously acquired Avenai, an Ottawa consultancy firm, and Callisto Integration, a tech service provider in the digital manufacturing field.
