Accenture, an Irish-based consulting firm, entered into an agreement to acquire BRIDGEi2i, an artificial intelligence and analytics firm based in Bangalore, India.BRIDGEi2i also has offices in the US and Australia.
The acquisition will add over 800 deeply skilled professionals to Accenture’s Applied Intelligence practice. Accenture acquisition of BRDGEi21 will further strengthen and scale up the company’s global capabilities in machine learning, data science, as well as in AI-powered insights. The financial terms of the transaction are yet to be disclosed.
BRIDGEi2i, founded in the year 2011, specializes in data-driven digital transformation for companies and organizations across industries and global markets by combining advanced analytics, data engineering, proprietary AI accelerators, and consulting services.
The analytics firm helps enterprises and businesses to drive insights for faster and more accurate decision-making, thereby enabling shorter time to value. Accenture research indicates that organizations that are stepping up investments in technologies including cloud and AI and are growing revenue at five times the rate of those not making these strategic investments.
Sanjeev Vohra, who works as the global lead for Accenture Applied Intelligence, said that the COVID-19 pandemic had made technologies, including AI, core to the success of a business, with scaled investments enabling enterprises and companies to thrive by refocusing on growth during the most disruptive time in their history.
He added that in this rapidly evolving space, constantly building new capabilities is key, and they believe that BRIDGEi2i will further enhance their AI skills and data science capabilities to strengthen how their global network delivers value for clients.
